The small resort of Bretignolles sur Mer lies between St. Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and the town of Les Sables d’Olonne.
Camping les Dunes is mainly for mobile homes, with some pitches left for tourers and camping and the layout of the pitches is such that there is plenty of privacy from high (6ft+) hedges). The facilities are excellent. Very plentiful showers and toilets for campers(not used by many people now that most have mobile homes) which are kept spotlessly clean. The site has a shop, swimming pools, play areas, etc It is right next to the sand dunes and the beach - brilliant if you love the beach which most people do.
At its centre, Camping les Dunes has its own shopping square, with a supermarket, bar, restaurant, table tennis room, television room and cooked meal service, all of which open from the beginning of May through until 7th September (shop closes 25th September). There are also excellent tennis and volleyball courts and an onsite animateur who organises various daytime activities for both adults and children during July and August. Throughout this time there are also various evening entertainments organised on the campsite, which can range from folk dancing to a disco!
Camping les Dunes is a great campsite to choose if you want to forget the car on holiday as everything you and your family may need is available within a short walk.
