Whichever way up you have either lost a "friend" or a serious amount of money, but had your static caravan been insured then the most you would have lost would be a no claims bonus - and even that could have been protected. When purchasing insurance for your static caravan make sure that it includes cover for all the year round for wherever it is standing.
