Well, we have to be fair even to insurance companies, and if we are looking for a cheap quote - what other sort is there - then we must really compare like for like.  because that is the only way we can ensure that we are getting the best value for money. And here I must state that I detest "Compare" websites, many of which are a complete scam, some of which load the premium they offer you in the hope that you will believe it is cheap. They make their money anyway by charging the insurance companies a fee each time they show you a quote, so there is no reason to scam the public and load the premiums too. I don't want us to be sued so I cannot mention which sites do this.

In years gone by we used to pop down to the local insurance agent or broker on the highstreet but the Internet has undercut  local companies for the most part, so now all the cheap caravan insurance deals are to be found on the Net. In a way this is a shame because for a few pounds more you will undoubtedlt get better service from you agent on the highstreet.

To get a cheap quote for your touring or static caravan insurance I recommend that you spend a little time trawling the Net, filling in the necessary forms and perhaps calling a few companies with your details. Compare like for like and you will know then that you have the best quote. Of course this way of doing things is a retrograde step if you talk to the guys in the Compare sites because  they will argue that they are there to save you the time and hassle of finding the cheapest quote for your insurance. True, they are there for that purpose and for no other that I can see, but if you use them are you getting the best value for money?
