What I personally would give to be able to drop everything this minute, go out and hire a decent campervan, load up and start to see some life by travelling throughout Europe. Even Africa isn't out of the question as you could catch a ferry across from southern Spain without it breaking the bank. Sadly, I am one of these guys who would have to hire for a few months as there is no way of being able to afford to buy a campervan without selling the house first, though that has crossed this ageing mind a few times I can tell you.

Now lots of people lump camper vans and motorhomes together under the same heading, but there is one gigantic difference in that a campervan is cheaper to buy and, therefore, cheaper to hire than a motorhome. On the safety front you get a fire extinguisher and first aid box, a UK road map and a torch. Pretty neat we think for around £650 per week in September, and don't forget linen which you can either provide yourself or hire from the same company which supplies your campervan.
