As with any other mortgage type on offer you need to think carefully before securing debts like this against your home, which may be repossessed if you are unable to keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other debts secured against it.

Well you could try some of the Compare websites which appear to be coming out of the woodwork these days, but to get the best deal you need to make sure that you give each company the exact same details to get a like for like quote. We probably shouldn't mention this but one should always be wary of comparison websites in case they charge a finders fee, and although it might appear that they don't charge you, the client, you must be aware that SOMEBODY has to pay for it in the long term, and that somebody is you.

Though we are all for using the Internet for ease of obtaining quotes for things like this you could indeed be quoted the best variable rate mortgage by approaching a company based on your high street!
