Apple crumble recipes from around the globe Essortment - Method: Peel and slice apples into greased baking dish. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Dot with two teaspoons of the butter. Blend the remaining four teaspoons of butter into brown sugar. Mix and add flour and rolled oats. Spoon mixture over apples. Bake at 350%F. for 15mins. Uncover and bake until crust is golden and apples are tender (approx. 35 minutes.) Serve warm, or cold with whipped cream - it's delicious! Netmums - Peel and slice some dessert apples and put in the bottom of an oven proof dish. Get your children to mix all the flour, marg and sugar until they are like breadcrumbs or, alternatively whizz the mixture for 15 seconds in the food processor. Stir in the oats and put the mixture on top of the apples. Bake on 190 degree oven for 40 to 45 mins. Allow to cool slightly and serve with yoghurt, custard or creme fraiche. Make the crumble topping: If you're doing it by hand, chop the butter into small cubes and add to the flour. Using your finger tips, rub the butter and flour until they resemble bread crumbs. Mix in the sugar. Wash the apples, cut them in half and remove the core. Then slice them and arrange them in the base of the crumble dish. Wash the blackberries thoroughly. Drain them well and then add to the crumble dish, on top of the apples. Sprinkle the sugar over the blackberries. There is no need to mix. Top with the crumble mixture, making sure the edges are sealed, so juice doesn't creep up during cooking and burn. Serve with fresh, natural yoghurt, cream, ice cream or custard Serves 8 Crumble INGREDIENTS:
